Get started
Add your site, paste one line into it, and watch your first visitors arrive.
Add your site
Sign in and add your site. Enter the domain your pages live on, such as example.com. Its subdomains count too, so www.example.com and shop.example.com show up in the same dashboard.
You can change the domain later in the site's settings without losing any data.
Install the script
Your site's page shows its own snippet with its site id filled in. Paste it into the <head> of every page:
<script defer src="https://emberbee.app/script.js" data-site="st_xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"></script>If you use a coding agent such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex, copy the prompt from your site's page instead. The agent finds the right file and adds the snippet for you.
Using a framework or a site builder? See the guides for HTML and site builders and Next.js.
Check that it works
Open your site in a browser. Your site's page in emberbee waits for the first visit and turns into your dashboard as soon as it arrives.
Nothing yet? Press Check installation on your site's page. It looks for the snippet on your home page and tells you if it is missing or belongs to another site. If that looks right, work through Events not showing up.
Leave out your own visits
To stop counting your own visits, open your site, then run this in the browser console:
localStorage.setItem("emberbee_ignore", "1");It applies to that browser on that site only. Run localStorage.removeItem("emberbee_ignore") to be counted again.
Next steps
- Track custom events such as signups and purchases.
- Fix a dashboard that stays empty.
